Specialized for rapid production of delicate 3D printed metal medical parts, EOS M 100 has a 200-watt fiber laser for consistent part quality. Small laser spots inside the 3D printer enable the manufacturing of complex and delicate parts. EOS M 100 has a small build space on a round construction platform of 100 mm in diameter driven towards cost-efficient production.
Setup and cleanup of EOS M 100 are possible in just a few minutes because of the modular inner structure and the powder bed container. All of these materials are easy to switch and their maintenance does not require much time to be performed. The laser type used for the production of parts using the printer is a Yb-fiber laser that works in combination with an F theta lens and high-speed scanner to produce amazing prints.
The focus diameter of the laser source present inside the printer is 40 micrometers. For ensuring the quality of parts matches the level of the tests, EOS offers three in-house-made materials; EOS Cobalt Chrome, EOS Stainless Steel 316 L, and EOS Titanium Ti64, all of which are used in different industries. Objects created from the first one finds specific use in aerospace and medical, the second one show high resistance to many materials, while the third one is used in automotive industries.
