Created by inventors of binder jetting and single-pass inkjet 3D printing technology, Desktop Metal Production System is designed to be the fastest way for 3D printing metal parts at scale. High-resolution 3D printing and a uniform print bed allow the Production System for the production of dense and high-quality parts.
Production System makes you achieve a resolution of 1200 dpi * 1200 dpi and layer heights as small as 50 micrometers. The parts manufactured using the printing system depicts excellent surface finish and incredibly fine features. It delivers part cost competitively with traditional mass production techniques by using low-cost metal injection molding powders. The Production system provides robust repeatability via anti-ballistic technology and lives optical print bed inspection. An anti-banding mechanism eliminates the need for hard, nozzle-based redundancy while improving maintenance accessibility.
An overhead camera monitors each layer printed on the Production system using multi-angle imaging for detecting print defects and nozzle performance during printing. The inert environment of the Production System and open material platform permits you to select engineered binders by the printer manufacturer. And a bi-directional single pass jetting deposits, spreads, compacts, ballistics, suppresses, binder jets with each pass over the production system’s build area. P1 and P50 are two forms in which this printing system is available.
