SLM Solutions SLM 125 3D Printer
Being the smallest machine in SLM Solutions’ lineup, SLM 125 includes many of the top quality features of larger platforms in a compact footprint. The printer’s substrate plate can be pre-heated up to 200 degrees Celsius. Its standard 400 Watts fiber laser is the highest powered one provided on small machines for replicating production settings with up to less than 80 percent of metal powder compared to others.
SLM 125 comes with three accessories: a) PSM Manual Powder Sieve, b) Melt Pool Monitoring, and c) Laser Power Monitoring. The first one separates metal powder under inert gas conditions. The second one contains tool for visualizing thermal emission of the melt pool in the SLM process. The third one is permanent on-axis laser power monitoring system measuring and illustrating nominal and actual power during the ongoing manufacturing process.
The maximum build envelope offered by SLM 125 is 1250 mm * 125 mm * 125 mm. The printer provides a build rate up to 25 cubic centimeters per hour. Its variable layer thickness range is 20 micrometers to 75 micrometers. The beam focus diameter range is 70 micrometers to 100 micrometers. The maximum scan speed provided by the printer is 10 meters per second.
