MarkForged Metal X 3D Printer
The printer is the most accessible way for fabricating complex metal parts with the widest available range of advanced metals. Starting from Stainless Steel to Copper, using Markforged Metal X you can print it all with minimal training on a closed workflow. Metal X’s design is such that it costs 5 to 10 times less than DMLS metal 3D printing systems, requires no dedicated operator, powder management, and minimal PPE.
Offering a Z-layer resolution range of 50 to 125 micrometers, Metal X features a heated print bed that can be auto-leveled. To safely remove the printed part, the machine features replaceable print sheets. The maximum build volume offered by Metal X is 300 mm * 220 mm * 180 mm. The print system of the printer consists of two nozzles, one for metal material and the other for release material. Metal X prints using fused filament fabrication technique of 3D printing.
Markforged Metal X is the first printer that comes without any safety risks like a loose powder, no lasers, and other precautions. It’s safe to be used in a shop environment as well as a manufacturing plant with minimal facility upgrades. The printer features a precision-machined gantry, heated chamber, and print bed to supply you with reliable prints.

- he complete system of Wash-1, Sinter-1, and 2 is a very big plus point for the printer.
- The printers work without getting a separate powder binding system in place and reduce the post-processing of parts and hence expedites the print speed.
- There are no pictures of parts and functional prototypes that are manufactured using this 3D printer, so the only point from which you have to judge the printer's print quality is from the claimed layer resolution range.
