ProtoFab SLM 150 3D Printer

Being an entry-level 3D printer, Protofab SLM 150 gives you a broad choice of materials such as Stainless Steel, Cobalt Chrome, Bronze, Titanium, Aluminum, etc, to choose from. Thanks to Protofab’s patented layer applying technology, smaller particles also can be utilized for generating the finest features, details, and thinnest wall thickness.

Being able to produce high-quality parts, Protofab SLM 150 is an alternative to traditional manufacturing processes. It offers a reduced amount of waste, greater speeds for production, shorter setup times, and very dense metal parts. The SLM 150 manufactures small, complex parts in a build volume of 150 mm * 150 mm * 100 mm with a surface finish quality of up to 5 Ra micrometers.

The layer thickness range offered in each and every part manufactured on SLM 150 is 0.02 to 0.1 mm. Scanning complete parts are the Scanlab galvo scanning system with a scanning speed of 10 meters per second. The laser type used in the printer is Yb-fiber, it has a power of 500 Watts and a spot diameter range of 25 to 50 micrometers. The inert gas supply source supplies either Argon or Nitrogen gas to maintain the correct amount of pressure.
